Fallen Angel is like the Godfather meets "Insert Sexiest Book/Movie you've watched or read."

This book was a true pleasure to read, Tracie Podger you have a gift for storytelling. Fallen Angel drew me in right from the beginning, and I didn't want to put it down! As far as HOT ASS Alpha Male's go - damn, Robert Stone could give any sexy, billionaire hero a run for their money. AND Brooke Stiles, I love her. She is strong, and I most certainly love a confident fearless leading lady.

I'm going to review this book differently than I do most… there is so much to say, but I want to hit the "highlights" because YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK.

1. This is not your typical Contemporary Romance story where the Hot CEO meets the shy young lady. Feisty Brooke Stiles isn't scared to stand up to Robert. AMAZING emotional dynamic between the two characters.

2. While Robert Stone is flawed (and aren't we all in some way?), he is quite possibly is the perfect Alpha - charming, powerful, dark and mysterious.

3. Read this book for the drama, twists and turns alone - INTENSE, left me on the edge of my seat.

4. Let's talk about the sex scenes... {fans self} HOT, BURNING, SCORCHING... I think my kindle melted.

When I began this book, a cross between Gordon Cross and Christian Gray came to mind because all three are powerful, arrogant, self made, sexy men. The comparisons are there but the story is all Robert Stone.

It's a love at first sight tale with a believable story. I liked the way they spoke to each other. The way they interact with each other. It felt real to me. Blame it on the writing which was refreshing.

If I liked it so much, why the 1 1/2 deficit? Though out the book, Brooke kelp asking questions- all the right questions except for one. The one I couldn't get out of my mind. How did a homeless eleven year old grow up to become a millionaire many times over? We get our answer towards the end of the book, but after it seems to grag a long a bit. It's not that I was ever bored with this book, but I feel if Tracie would have let us in a little sooner- let Brooke asked that question, it could have built up more suspense. Even with Roberts evasive answers, it would give us more to look out for.

Don't let that keep you from reading this book. It worth the time spent and I'm looking forward to book 2.
I loved this first installment of the Fallen Angel series. Robert and Brooke are both broken souls and until they find each other they are lost. While on holiday to visit a friend, after the breakup of a longtime relationship, Brooke meets Robert Stone. The attraction is immediate and somewhat frightening for both parties. Robert unleashes something deep in Brooke's soul, while she is what's missing in his. His past shaped him to be secretive and closed off but Brooke may just breach those walls. The story is fast-paced. The characters well-defined and likable, even when they border on brooding and scary, and the sex is off the charts hot. There is danger, intrigue, passion, and humor, a well-rounded balance for the reader. This is just the beginning of Brooke and Robert's journey, I can't wait to read more.
I loved this Book 1 .... the insight of the "new" era of Mafia men. stayed up late, read for 6 hours then decided I need to sleep so I will finish the book today and continue on as I have ordered the rest in this set.... I love her writing.. there is some getting use to lingos (UK) and a few minor typos, but overall, it is a well-written book... love the connection between Brook / Robert/ and how she "stayed/ stuck" with him through thick and thin... todays Mafia, are business men, 3rd maybe 4th generation ... they are not like their grandfathers/ fathers who used violence to get their message through... I love this new "era" and she nailed it - this is a "romance" mafia story ...
Wow, a roller coaster of emotion. I loved this book. Robert is top of my Alpha Males, strong confident. Oh so in love. Brooke wonderful no simpering heroine here, a passionate woman holding her own ground. The other characters in the book equally absorbing. I have read the 3 parts of this series. They do stand alone, but together they make magic. Tracie Podger I will enjoy reading more from you and recommend this series to readers looking for a great romance
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the story, the characters, the plot twists. It is well written, flows smoothly and is easy to read. The author does a great job portraying the characters, their emotions and the experiences they go through.

I love the lead female Brooke Stiles. She is on a vacation in Washington DC to visit her best friend Sam. Being in a new country is a bit of a shock to her. She is a strong independent woman, who is at a crossroad in her life. Now it is time to figure out who she is and what she wants.

Sam has been Brooke's best friend for 25 years. He is a fun, loving, compassionate person. He would do anything to see Brooke happy. He is very much a drama queen.

Robert is a powerful businessman. He has an air of superiority, is intimidating and a bit frightening. While he may seem like a ladies man to some he does not feel that way about himself. He is a very private person and is not one to show emotion freely.

Once I started the book I didn't want to put it down. I had to keep reading to see what going to happen next. Overall I enjoyed the book very much. There was nothing I didn't like about the book, but the only thing I thought odd about the book, was that with it being a Mafia Romance, there wasn't much about it being Mafia until the end. While there were hints and slight undertones that there was more than what meets the eye, it is only the last few chapters that you get the the feel that it is truly a mafia book.
